"The Pursuit of Doing Good – Exploring Equity, Inclusion and Belonging"
Diversity and equity are big words in our world:
What do we do with them?
How do we approach them?
How can do good for others by bringing diversity and equity to the forefront?
This session opens the box to explore, learn, and discuss how each of us can do good!
“ILAB: Igniting Love - Creating the Culture through Adult Social and Emotional Fluency”
In order to create a culture where adults and scholars thrive intellectually, socially and emotionally, we as adults need to be well versed in our own social emotional fluency. That includes being grounded in the CASEL five social emotional learning competencies, level setting as an adult team to know the definitions of each and what each competencies entails. Then we can skillfully build our own social emotional fluency, in order to model and teach our scholars. This course is intended to get participants grounded in each competency and reflect throughout the course on real time applications in our adult experiences. We also explore the neuroscience that supports our social emotional fluency and plan for ways to increase our happiness in order to thrive.
“Navigating a Digital World”
We will cover the understanding of Digital Literacy, Digital Citizenship, and the impact modern technology is having on culture. This course should leave each participant thinking about their day-to-day use of technology and be able to move forward with an understanding of the true reality of the technological changes and challenges happening every day.
"Creating a Learning Space for the Brain"
Learn how trauma impacts brain development in your students and why their behavior can be a reflection of trauma experienced in the past. Learn which strategies you can use immediately in order to create a learning space for not only these students, but every student in your classroom!
"Atomic Habits"
"We don’t rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems". Gina Yonts, long time educator and Leadership Coach, will be highlighting important concepts and strategies for educators from James Clear’s Atomic Habits to help provide a framework for success. Strategies are applicable to classroom teachers and coaches to help them access their potential and achieve work/life balance.
"Shift the Culture - Change the Game"
If you want to change someone’s beliefs, you’ll need to provide an experience they’ve not had before. In order to move beyond false starts, time and energy invested in experiences is the best place to start. Foundational understanding of the results pyramid will be the focus of this session and offered to help you shift your own thinking about what is possible; professionally and personally!
